[Caps] KuroMyu II - Part 1
24th-Nov-2010 03:29 pm
[Paako] Cute smile
These caps cover only about the first 22 minutes or so. And there are erm, 67 of them. xD So it's up till when their Shinigami Haken Kyoukai song finishes.

This post will cover some specific dialogue for those who did not understand the musical at all. Like 100% of what is going on. It's also super cappy for those interested in the musical.

PLEASE NOTE that lots of the translations for all four parts are general ideas of what they are saying and not all are exact dialogues of what they said. Please wait patiently for the subs to be released!
I'm NOT the one subbing this, PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME ABOUT IT.

And so, we open with...

And so the title just below 'The Most Beautiful DEATH in The World' says "Thousand Souls and the Fallen Shinigami".

We open with a little monologue with Ciel. He begins by saying, "There is no God." (Kami nante inai.) He also goes on to say about the humiliation and suffering. It's quite similar to the dialogue in the manga too. Perhaps because Toboso Yana herself was there to direct them a little, give pointers etc. She was around as drew some drawings on their whiteboard to encourage them. If you watched the backstage, she's the woman with bleached white hair. nayama just corrected me - it's most likely their director, so if you saw this off some video at YouTube which one of the comments said she's Toboso Yana like I did, that's incorrect. :X

Our savior, Sebastian appears! Ciel seems to have called upon the devil himself. Kinda awesome that he said, "There is no God". I'd like to continue the line with, "But there is the devil!" ♥ In any case, he appears at the very topmost level of their three level stage and smiles down at everyone. And with all his mocking voice, he begins, "Oh? That's a rather small master." He proposes to help Ciel with revenge, if that is Ciel's wish.

And some amazing lighting with handling the stage, along with a song. The lyrics and translation can be found at THIS VIDEO. Anyway, the rest of it is just some more caps of the scene.

Hang on, why are they covering Ciel up? :O

Ohhhh, that's why. They have a knack for displaying magic like in the previous musical, where Lau took the saw and sawed Sebastian. xD Anyway, they had ample time to shift Ciel out of the cage since Sebastian took his own sweet time to get down the second level. Magic in a musical! :O Indeed, a magical musical.

They have pretty good lighting. But IMO still cannot compare to BuriMyu Code 002's lighting. That was like, disco + 3 part revolving stage + stage that raises up and down. Goodness that one is just too awesome.

Ohhhh, that was what Sebastian was preparing us for. Yeah, Ciel appeared right there behind Sebastian. Anyway, the coat is gray and it's easy for him to move in that total blackout, even from backstage.

Ciel (roughly) says, "You'll be 'Sebastian Michaelis'. Obey me, grant my wish." and of course, Sebastian, "Yes my lord. The moment you call me, I'll be your loyal servant." The image of their contract is projected on the er, drape-curtain thing. It's pretty~

Suuuure, that's very rough, the translation I mean. And we get a scene shift using a blackout.

It's morning, and Ciel has just woken up. As usual, Sebastian helps Ciel wear his clothes.

It's usual reporting of the menu for breakfast, what kind of tea etc, and Ciel being a naughty boy doesn't want his scones and spinach (hourensou). Complaining, he also doesn't want his dance lesson. So Sebastian proposes that in exchange, he finishes his spinach for breakfast and Sebastian will cancel the dance lessons. Ciel asks if a butler like him is trying to have a say in what his master decides, and Sebastian responds that all he wants is for his master to grow healthily. Then I think Sebastian said he'll make potage (er, thick soup right?) and that'll have spinach with lots of milk, so that makes things easier to eat. (Upon hearing that it makes me hungry too...) Let's just assume Ciel just hates eating green leafy vegetables...

Ciel asks for the newspapers, and on the news there have been 4 women who have been reported dead. Strange deaths with absolutely no physical wounds when they died. This is of course, the main problem that will be looked into as it is the main plot that drives this musical.

And THEN! There is a disturbance of the peace of the morning.

Sebastian is shocked. And not pleased. Of course the disturbance is caused by none other than...

...the other three servants of the Phantomhive house (not including Tanaka) - Bard, Meirin and Finny. Sebastian calls their names loudly in a chiding tone, asking them why they disturb our dear bocchan, and on top of that to barge into Ciel's room.

They report there is a mouse sneaking around, and they've been trying to catch it but to no avail. They said it went into Ciel's room. Sebastian, being the perfect butler that you cannot not trust...

Above, Bard says, "He picked it up..."

"...threw it..."

"...ate it..."

"...hit it!" (< very roughly what he said) Perhaps he meant a baseball term which I'm not too sure of.

Even Ciel wanted to know how far that mouse was hit...

Meirin is always in awe of Sebastian...She's so cute.

And Bard needs to learn how to be careful with his weapons. >>; This is why when he was picked up by Sebastian, no one was at the battlefield - his handling of weapons are dangerous...

And so Sebastian is angry and is on the verge of shouting. He orders them back to work.

And then Meirin just remembered:

There seems to be a letter from Her Majesty.

From the letter, it says there have been reports that the screams of ladies have reverberated on the streets of London. Her Majesty believes this to be a chain of murders done by the same person. They then recalled the newspapers that Ciel read in the morning - about the four girls who mysteriously died without wounds. They think both the letter and the news report may be linked and so they will investigate this case.

The scene shifts and we get:

The shinigami guys! From left to right: Ronald Knox (guy who kissed Undertaker, backstage footage), William T. Spears, Eric Slingby, Alan Humphries. Can't hear names too well...

It's just a load of usual chatting and talking to each other - like normal office work. Except a little boring...

Ronald Knox leaps from maybe the 5th step...xD

William is just really handing his death scythe over to that colleague to take and place in a corner, but...

Will, why are you so harsh? ;~; That poor guy, you scared him!

I...actually don't quite know what's going on, but it's something about Ronald being jealous of Eric for some reason, and he's being a little grumpy about it. Er, Eric and Alan are both considered 'senpai' of Ronald, meaning Eric and Alan both entered and joined much earlier than Ronald. But considering Eric and Alan are OCs (they are, right, unless I missed something?), that doesn't really matter.

Alan then finds something strange in their records. The deaths [of girls] (ref. to the earlier cases that Sebastian and Ciel were talking about) don't tally with the souls they should have collected. William thinks that this case shouldn't have been passed on to "him".

Alan responds, "By 'him' you mean..." And here comes OUR LOVELY GRELL.

She responds, "No no, you mean 'her'!" (And since Grell wants to be called a 'her' in this case, I'll just refer to Grell as a 'she' for the next three posts as well.)

Hell yeah! With tongue. xD Uehara Takuya sure knows his stuff...

Will decides to leave this case to Alan. And well, everyone ignores poor Grell. D: One of the random minor shinigami asks what's with the idea of being unable to collect the souls. There is a reason why they have death scythes to reap the souls of the beings, however, Will explains that there's currently an existence that may possibly stop them from getting the job done. That is, the existence of a devil.

Grell steps in to say, "Yes! It's my Sebastian! Not only does he take souls, he's also taken my heart!"

Grell being adorableeee, asks, "Ne, Will, jealous~? ♥"

He's not grabbing where you think he's grabbing. All he's doing is this...

Yeah, really, just grabbing the hand. And being mean to Grell. D:

Will orders the rest to get serious. And we get this awesome, awesome catchy song. My favorite song of all the songs in both the first and second musical, the "Shinigami Haken Kyoukai" song. ;D

Ronald Knox - this guy can sing pretty well! Not only that, he can dance. :3 But he doesn't have much of an appearance in this whole thing. He does get to fight with Sebastian later, but that isn't much. Even William has minimal appearance. :X

"Daaaare~? ♥"

Eric - he also has a good voice. I quite like this voice, actually. He's the seme the one who will be gay with Alan.

Alan - er, goodness the way he speaks and the face just reminds me of Daiki-chan so I can't help but keep trying to imagine that MoriEiji is Eric...Anyway, he can also sing, so that's pretty good. Yeah, he's the uke...

And so to be a shinigami has its rules. Just following the caps, here are some rules...

You must wear glasses...!

Take good care of your zanpakutou death scythe! No, Grell's face has nothing to do with whatever I just said before, I just took that close up for fun...Uehara is awesome. 8D

Somewhere there, there's the line where you must be handsome...

Another rule...you work like mad without a smile. D: Grell's the outcast. xD She's always too happy~

Thrillerrrrrrr~ Thriller yeah~

And and and, Uehara Takuya can dance. I'm thinking maybe he's an actor and dancer type, but not so much of a singer. They were smart enough to let him sing less. If not it'd be quite off-tune like the red and black song with Sebastian in the previous musical because he moves too much and gets tired. :O

That's why I say this song is awesome and cute. :3

Everyone's just accusing poor Grell. XD He's called a slacker and stuffs like that. D:

"Shinigami Haken Kyoukai DEATH!"

*eyebrow raise <--- William T. Spears does it best. :D I love this.

Anyway, Eric offered to be the back-up of Alan with this current case that William has decided to hand over to Alan. We then hear and know that Alan has some sort of "condition", but we don't really know what it is yet. Ronald before this asks about Alan and Eric's relationship with each other. William replies that when Alan was only just new to being a shinigami, Eric was the person who guided Alan along. So Eric is probably "worried about Alan's condition".

So that's it for the first twenty minutes! More to come soon!

thank you for this post with all the pics and comments *_*

Just now getting to catch up with these. Your little commentary is adorable, it's making me wanna watch it again!
27th-Nov-2010 05:04 pm (UTC)
:D Did it help in extra understanding m'love? :3

Well, I've got in total 3 parts now. Just one more part to go! It's the tear-jerking part for poor Eric and Alan...
27th-Nov-2010 05:12 pm (UTC)
Yeah, it really cleared up certain parts. sanoiscari's summaries were much more generalized...
27th-Nov-2010 05:15 pm (UTC)
I only knew about it when I finished the 2nd part, so I'm thinking of linking these posts onto kuroshitsuji. Should I? :'D
27th-Nov-2010 05:24 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I think people would love checking these out. :)
29th-Nov-2010 02:24 pm (UTC)
Uhm, I just have a few things to point out...

First and foremost, Yana doesn't appear in any videos. She doesn't really want to show herself, so that's why. She of course gave a few advices (since the charas are hers), but the woman with blonde hair you're talking about is Sakurako Fukuyama, the musical's director.

Also, Takuya Uehara is an actor/dancer, but I think he's doing a good job singing, especially considering that Grell's voice is not really his natural one, lol.
By the way, even actors that can usually sing well (like Yuuya, who is a singer) tend to be out of tune from time to time during musicals, because they are moving around and it's tiring, it's not like they're only singing. Besides, the DVD's audio is different from what you could hear at the theater. They kind of fixed the parts that were most out of tune, lol. I went to see the musical 3 times, and there wasn't a single one where *all* the songs were in tune. Plus, I actually saw the show they used for the DVD recording (I recognized it because they have different ad libs every time, and I remember seeing these ones), and I don't recall it being perfect either.

Lastly, a few things you translated are somewhat wrong, but you did state that you're doing a rough summary, so I guess that's ok.

Sorry, it's not like I want to sound harsh or anything, but I don't want people to start going around saying "I know Yana Toboso's face!!!" or misunderstand random stuff. I'm currently translating the full musical, I hope we can release it within December but it's a lot of work, so yeah...
29th-Nov-2010 02:33 pm (UTC)
First, thanks for all the comments and advice. You aren't the least bit harsh! :)

Eh? Hmm, I read somewhere she's the woman with the bleached white hair? I believe it's one of the videos I saw on YouTube. If that's wrong I'll remove that bit.

Yeah, perhaps Uehara Takuya 'faked' his voice too much to an extent that it became hard for him to really sing. But he faked it so well I was so shocked he sounded so similar to Fukuyama Jun. xD;; But when he speaks in his natural voice I was reminded of Kouki Miyata to a certain extent.

Indeed, seeing the musicals live and all is extremely different from watching from DVD. Considering where I am, I can't see any musicals anytime soon unless I go to Japan...

Yeah, translations aren't going to be 100% correct (since no translations can be 100% correct) but they're mostly roughly done, so I had to state that beforehand.

Good luck with the translations! It's all hard work indeed...
29th-Nov-2010 03:00 pm (UTC)
With "the woman with bleached white hair" you mean this person, right?
If you do, it's Sakurako Fukuyama, the director (as written in the article) :D I highly doubt Yana ever showed her face... She likes to be able to go to Animate and events without anyone recognizing her, lol.

I was in Japan when they were showing it, but of course it's not somewhere you can go in the weekend :/ It's nice that they're making DVDs at least. I wasn't there when they showed the first musical, so I've only seen that on DVD too ><

Thank you, I hope that we can release the subbed musical as "Christmas present" @_@ It would be nice I guess XD;
29th-Nov-2010 03:12 pm (UTC)
fdof;adlsdf I was fooled by the comment at a backstage video. xD;; I've made changes to that in front.

Indeed, I just did a little search on Google images and couldn't find Toboso-sensei's picture, so I guess she wouldn't be showing her face so easily. :X Plus she's so big-shot now that Kuroshitsuji is just so popular.

Oh~ I still want to get to Japan one fine day for a stage performance...There are no more BuriMyus (unless you count the new one coming soon) to watch... ;~;

It would be an awesome present if anything. :D I- I would give the whole of your team some internetz + virtual cookies. *__*

Also, if you also looked at the rest of my posts, let me know if any translations went horribly wrong, like even the basic idea behind it has become distorted because of mistranslation. I'd really appreciate it. I wouldn't mind if you sounded harsh. xD;;
3rd-Dec-2010 06:02 pm (UTC)
Thank you very much for this!!~
It helps a lot. :]
3rd-Dec-2010 06:05 pm (UTC)
You're welcome! :D Hope you enjoyed!
3rd-Dec-2010 06:16 pm (UTC)
I really did. :))
3rd-Dec-2010 06:18 pm (UTC)
Also, the translations are still kinda rough to an extent, so I'd advise to wait patiently for the subs to be released instead. :D

...and the subs will be way better than this one too. ;D
3rd-Dec-2010 06:24 pm (UTC)
There is no other thought but to wait for the subbed version. yup. ;D
But thanks to you, now I can, at least, understand the main point of this musical~

I wonder, when the subs will be released..
3rd-Dec-2010 06:31 pm (UTC)
:) You're very welcome!

Read a few comments above. There are plans to release it as a Christmas present, but it's kinda hard...xD;;
3rd-Dec-2010 06:43 pm (UTC)

Oh, of course I'll read that. ;D

I believe that it is pretty hard. All that translating, timing etc. D:
Anyway, I'm getiting exited about this. XD
3rd-Dec-2010 08:00 pm (UTC)
Yup, translations aren't the least bit easy. We also need to consider the characters' voices. :X

Who isn't getting excited about this? 8D This is such a good Myu!
3rd-Dec-2010 08:30 pm (UTC)
Yeah, that too..

I totally agree!! It seems to be good!
[even though I have 'seen' it only from these caps. ;D DX]
21st-Dec-2010 06:50 am (UTC)
wee~! im butting in~ I saw your sig at MF~ and it lead me here~
wahahaha~!! this is sooo cute~! and looks really fun~! nyaha~ that grell really looks... grell-ish~ xD

thankies for sharing~! xD
26th-Jan-2011 06:09 pm (UTC)
Thank you!
I think you can add Alan's full name in there, it's "Alan Humphries" ^_^
26th-Jan-2011 06:13 pm (UTC)
You're welcome~

Haha, this post has died out, pretty much. xD I just ignored it...

I'll have that added in. ;)
26th-Jan-2011 06:54 pm (UTC)
I guessed you've just forgotten about it. Anyway, if I'm not missing something here, there are still no subs.
27th-Jan-2011 03:26 am (UTC)
Yeah. Didn't really remember about this post either. xD;;

Yup, there aren't. Not yet. I'm sure a team is still working on them right now. :X
27th-Jan-2011 04:25 am (UTC)
I hope so too, but it's hard to wait when you don't know for sure how much it will take. I would love to help with the timing and all. I actually already have an uncomplete subtitle file. I've asked on bb.net about the stage of the process, but got no reply, maybe they just don't visit the forum these days.
As I desperately wanted to find subs or translation... It seems I looked for it every where...
I've found only the translation of the first 15 minutes or so... Here it is
Actually, the girl stated there she had written down the whole thing, but she sent to me a file that ends on shinigami dialogue shortly after the Grell's appearence.

Finally I asked for help on a language-learning-social-network, and thanks for the kindness of one woman now I have two dialogues in Japanese. Unfortunately, it's very hard for me to translate them.
They are here... Actually, I've stolen 2 caps from your blog to illustrate the dialogues, I hope you won't kill me on sight for that) http://www.diary.ru/~brunettte/

I'll try to do my best XD

27th-Jan-2011 05:04 am (UTC)
Well, haha, I really don't want to sound mean and all but I guess the translators are probably sick of hearing people who ask when subs are out. I know you definitely aren't the impatient kind to complain and all since your tone is pleasant, I'm sure you didn't, but sometimes because they've been asked so much they don't even want to speak up anymore. :X

Hmm, maybe it's still kinda incomplete? It's a long musical after all, 2 hours so it'll take quite some effort. Maybe she's correcting her own translations since she has stated her translations are not going to be very correct. XD;; like mine, except I'm lazy

Haha, yup no prob! I'm sure the caps have leaked elsewhere too. They aren't mine anyway, and I don't take credit for that, so go ahead. XD I think crediting sanoiscari would be better. :D

:O You're Russian? First time speaking to a Russian, I think. xD;;
27th-Jan-2011 05:26 am (UTC)
Maybe you're right about them being sick and all, but I do believe that it takes less time to write down the translation than to do the timing (oh, god, how terribly boring is that) and to check for some slight mistakes, misprints, etc. If there are people eager to help with the boring part of the job, why not let them do? If only I had started to learn Japanese a year earlier...

Yes, I'm Russian. Huh, maybe it's not the first time, it's just the first time you are aware of the fact since you've seen my journal )))

27th-Jan-2011 05:37 am (UTC)
Haha, I'm sure their team has gotten enough people do to this which is why they promise a release. ^^;; But there are things like hiccups along the way, or real life so perhaps they do take a longer time. Video subbing isn't easy, IMO. Translation just via words sometimes needs double-checking and confirming, referencing to other things. And Kuroshitsuji has a thing with food names, English / European food so it's no surprise they need time to fix all of that up. Videos don't have subtitles explicitly spelled out for them, so sometimes unclear parts they'd have to listen over again, and re-check their scripts to make sure the subs make sense on the whole.

And like you said, video-timing is also a pain the butt. xD So that'll add on to the time taken as well.

XD Perhaps! ...I've been a little slow lately, do forgive! ^^;;
27th-Jan-2011 05:51 am (UTC)
Yeah, any translation is a tricky thing I admit. Especially since Japanese subs don't exist... there are always some little things that are pronounced unclearly. I made some translations from English and French, so I know what I am talking about.
27th-Jan-2011 05:57 am (UTC)
Ah, you have a Russian banner with Sebby and a cat on the top of your journal. So you must have taken it from a page of some Russian person LOL
27th-Jan-2011 05:59 am (UTC)
Heee, not sure if this person is Russian, but I just stole it and ran away with it. xD

Yeah, translation things...difficult and tough like hell, but sometimes so mind-boggling it's enthralling. :3
27th-Jan-2011 06:14 am (UTC)
Totally agree)) I like to translate puns or poems. Whatever, where you need to think a lot to be pround of a result. ^^

The poster... Maybe it's not Russian, but it has two very informative Russian words on it - "bang" and "meow" XDDD

Ah, one more thing about the musical. I've lied when I said I hadn't found any subs at all. I found a video with Chinese subs (if I'm not mistaken). http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMjMzNTA4MTMy.html I wonder who made them.
27th-Jan-2011 06:48 am (UTC)
Yeah, I realized it was Russian when I saw but, but didn't bother to find out the words. I got 'meow' since...well, the cat's there. xD;;

I see. Some Chinese people made it definitely...there are loads of people there who can understand Japanese too. Probably from China since they use simplified Chinese subtitles there. :P

Cool, I think I can understand more of the musical now...thanks~
27th-Jan-2011 06:59 am (UTC)
Not at all. At least now there is some use out of me having found it (I know this sentence is incorrect, but I think you'll understand what I want to say).
27th-Jan-2011 07:03 am (UTC)
Mm? No, it's correct! ^^

Yeah, I get you~ I'll see what I can make out of this perhaps, and edit bits that are wrong. :P
27th-Jan-2011 07:08 am (UTC)
after I'd written it, it seemed to me that it's kinda strange. I mean, the sentence. If it's ok... yokatta )) Maybe my English is better than I think.
^_- I'll check later for changes in your posts.
27th-Jan-2011 07:34 am (UTC)
Your English is fine dear. ;)

*does not remember her own posts!*

xD I won't be watching this today though, I'll just let you know if there are any changes. They'll be changes of any wrong interpretations, though.
27th-Jan-2011 08:55 am (UTC)
Ok, maybe meanwhile I'll get a full Japanese script by asking people to write down short bits of the musical )) I'm still wondering about the last part of Driutt's French lines though.
3rd-Jul-2013 05:04 pm (UTC)
can u tell me the link for this musical?
I want watch it~>.<
4th-Jul-2013 12:25 pm (UTC)
:') Sorry I don't really know where else you can watch it on now... You could attempt to find the musical on YouTube I guess?
7th-Jul-2013 09:04 am (UTC)
hiks~ ok~ thanks ^^
